The Peru Extraordinary Series have been designed to also enjoy the stunning beauty of the Sacred Valley (between Cusco and Machu Picchu). The magnificent views of this blessed land has inspired us to design since 1978 many tour packages with overnight stay in the Sacred Valley so travelers can experience this spectacular land. The Sacred Valley is also considered the perfect location for a better acclimatization and to prevent altitude sickness. Although one overnight in Machu Picchu is included we encourage the travelers to stay a 2nd night to further appreciate the many activities in the area and to hike Huayna Picchu for an amazing “condor view” of the citadel. Another important feature of the Peru Extraordinary Series is the visit to an authentic Quechua Village to feel the way of life of the Inca's ancestors. The Inca himself was a noble Quechua. A meaningful experience! Read more…
This serie is planned to follow the traditional way of visiting Peru, which means, to use Cusco as a base for taking day tours to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and to Machu Picchu. The Discover Peru series have been designed for passengers arriving in Lima early in the morning, have a tour of Lima in the afternoon and continue with their trip the following day.
This serie is planned to follow the traditional way of visiting Peru, which means, to use Cusco as a base for taking day tours to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and to Machu Picchu. The Peruvian Treasures series have been designed for passengers arriving in Lima late night have the tour of Lima in the following day and continue with their trip on the third day. Upon your arrival in Lima, you should consider a 2.5 hours for Immigrations and Customs formalities, transfer to your hotel and hotel check-in procedures.
The main features of the Exploring Peru series are the following: * Arrival in Lima is late night. Those arriving in Lima in the morning will get a price reduction for the unused night in Lima. * Upon one night in Cusco, will spend two nights in the Sacred Valley of the Incas for two meaningful day excursions before going to Machu Picchu for an overnight stay. * The stunning beauty of the Sacred Valley (between Cusco and Machu Picchu) has inspired us to design tour packages with overnight stay in the valley since 1978 so travelers can enjoy an enhanced experience in this spectacular land. * The Exploring Peru series include an overnight in Machu Picchu, which is only a short train ride from the Urubamba Valley. * Travelers also will have a free day in Cusco to wander and discover the former capital of the Inca Empire on their own. To explore the astonishing narrow streets of this tile roof colonial town will be your unforgettable experience. Most visitors to Cusco return home some-how disappointed for not having this free day. * The packages that include the flight over the Nazca Lines have a more in-depth journey to the Ica, Paracas and Nazca area that lasts 4 days/3 nights, instead of the usual trip to Ica and Paracas that lasts 2 days/1 night. * Travelers with time limitations may request to change from the Nazca Lines 3-night package to the Nazca Lines 1-night package, a price reduction will apply. * You can add any or all of the features of the Exploring Peru series to any itinerary.
This uniqueness of this tour series is that takes the travelers directly to the Sacred Valley upon their arrival in Cusco. This allows for easier adjustment to the high altitude because the Sacred Valley is at about 9,000 feet above sea level, a much lower altitude compare to Cusco at 11,200 feet above sea level. Another important aspect is that you follow the sequence of history. You will first visit important Archeological sites in Sacred Valley, Continue to Machu Picchu, the pinnacle of the Inca civilization; and last you will visit Cusco, where you will see the influence of the Spanish Conquistadors on the former capital of the Inca Empire. The day-by-day itineraries of the “Ancient Inca Passage” series are similar to the “Exploring Peru” series with one only difference. Since you will be arriving in Cusco and then immediately continuing to the Sacred Valley your Cusco City Tour will be moved to the afternoon of your last day in Cusco. Until these itineraries are published you can request the “Ancient Inca Passage” version of any Exploring Peru package, Discover Peru package or Peruvian Treasures package.
